WampServer

hello guys,
i've installed wamp server 2.5. wamp icon turns green seems all good. i can run localhost,phpmyadmin both work fine. but when i try to run other php files it doesnt work. chrome shows the code as it is and IE downloads the file.
it seems that only index file and phpmyadmin is working. this is really weird problem. if i drag drop index.php file, it doesnt work. but if i run through localhost then it works.
please help

Files containing PHP code must have the extension .php or they are not compiled and executed.
