Hi annie,
Yes it should be possible with this process.
On Original PC1. Stop WAMPServer
Make sure that the
wampapache and
wampmysqld processes are
Stopped2. Backup all of the C:\wamp folder and ALL subfolders to a CD or Thumb Drive or directly to the New PC
On New PC1. Restore the C:\wamp folder and all its sub folders to the new PC if you used a CD or Thumb Drive
NOTE:WAMPServer must be installed on the same drive on the new PC as it was on the old PC.
So if it was on the C: drive on the old PC it must be on the C: drive of the New PC.2. Make a shortut of the C:\wamp\wampmanager.exe andplace it on your desktop.
3. Run WAMPServer from the new shortcut.
4. Using the wampmanager menus install the Apache and MySQL services like this.
wampmanager -> Apache -> Service -> Install Service
wampmanager -> MySQL -> Service -> Install Service
5. Then start all the services like so
wampmanager -> Start all Services
Make sure the wampmanager icon goes green.
6. Check the
wampapache and
wampmysqld services are set to
manual startLaunch the services snapin.
WINDOWS KEY + R
Enter > services.msc
Find the above services and if necessary change the
Start type: to
manualTo change the strt type, Right click on the service name and select
PropertiesOn the dialog that launches set
Start type to Manual.
Dont destory the original PC or the Backup of all the wamp folders until you have checked everythig is working on the new PC.
