OCI8 Fetch Invalid Cursor Errors

I'm at a total loss at what to do. I've been seeing this issue ever since I started up some batch processes to connect to an oracle DB every 5 minutes. nothing is wrong until I'm running a long query and the script fires off. Turns out that I get the below error when 2 scripts have to connect to Oracle at the same time. From these two URLs below look like one steals the connection from the other. Can anyone here help me in getting this sovled. I've tested this on 1.4.4 and 1.4.5 and am going to upgrade to the latest version just to make sure there isn't a fix. I've also tried downloading dlls from Pecl but nothign has worked.

OCIFetch: ORA-01001: invalid cursor

I upgrade a test machine to 1.6.1 and after enabling oci8 and oracle I get an "ociparse() expects parameter 1 to be resource" error

I'm stumped

you should post this on the oracle forum, this is not a WAMP issue
