How to change default directory root path?

Hi, I want to use another directory root path instead of /wamp/www. I modified httpd.conf in apache/conf/ ,but it doesn't work. Someone can help me？

Hi,
wamp/www/ IS localhost and SHOULD NEVER be changed or modified.
To use anotehr directory for your local sites use VirtualHost as all hosters: The need for Virtual Host
