WAMP Server Installation causing following error:
WAMP 2.3.0.6_x64 installation Error

httpd.exe - System Error

The program can't start because VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Details of my Server:
1) wamp 3.0.6_x64 being installed
2) Apache 2.4.23
3) MySQL 5.7.14
4) PHP 5.6.25
5) Windows 7 Ultimate 2009, System 64-bit OS, Intel Core i5-4210U CPU 1.70 GHz, RAM 4GB
6) Wampserver colour after installtion Red
Installed VC9, VC 10, VC11 for x86 and x64 all pack with Run as Administrator
Then Installed Wampserver3.0.6, which gave the above error VCRUNTIME140.dll
Uninstall wampserver, re-started server and again installed wampserver, same error.
Agains un-install wampserver and Installed VC13 and wampserver giving same error.
Many people are facing the same problem. Some permanent solution to be found out.

Details of my Server:
1) wamp 3.0.6_x64 being installed

Then Installed Wampserver3.0.6, which gave the above error VCRUNTIME140.dll

Apparently I was also facing the same issue until I found solution in some other forum. Apparently just installing VC9, VC10, VC11 is not enough. so, I suggest first you uninstall your WAMPServer and restart the system. After that install the following packages with appropriate architecture then reinstall the WAMPServer. I hope it helps you.

Apparently I was also facing the same issue until I found solution in some other forum. Apparently just installing VC9, VC10, VC11 is not enough. so, I suggest first you uninstall your WAMPServer and restart the system. --- Installation of Wampserver ---
BEFORE proceeding with the installation of Wampserver, you must ensure that certain elements are installed on your system, otherwise Wampserver will absolutely not run, and in addition, the installation will be faulty and you need to remove Wampserver BEFORE installing the elements that were missing.
Make sure you are "up to date" in the redistributable packages VC9, VC10, VC11, VC13 and VC14

--- Do not install Wampserver OVER an existing version, follow the advice:

If you install Wampserver over an existing version, not only it will not work, but you risk losing your existing databases.

As per suggestion, un-installed wampserver 3.0.6

It is Win 7 Ultimate vesion 2009
I is not showing SP1 on my PC.
When trying to download Win7 SP1 from microsoft.com, it is displaying 10 files. Which files out of 10 files of Win 7 SP1, I should select to download and install on my system (details given at top).
I have downloaded Win7 x64 Universal C Runtime (KB2999226) and when run to install it is giving error:
Installer Encountered an Error 0xc8000222
Very troublesome installation indeed !

You should upgrade to Windows 7 SP1 using the standard Windows Update process.
There is only one reason not to allow Windows to upgrade itself from W7 to W7 SP1, and that is that your version of Windows is not legitimate.
If you cannot upgrade to SP1 for this reason, it is not the fauilt of WAMPServer

Downloaded Win 7 SP1 for 64bit (x64) (KB976932)
Downloaded Win7 X64 Universal C Runtime (KB2999226)
Downloaded Check VC++ Package (check_vcredist.exe)
Un-installed wampserver 2.0.6 which was Failed installed
Checked VC++ packages with above downloaded package. It said VC 9 (VC++) not installed.
Un-installed all packages VC9, VC10, VC11, VC13 installed so far (VC14 was giving error)
Re-Started PC
Installed Win7 SP1 x64 (KB976932)
Re-Started PC
Installed Win7 x64 Universla C Runtime (KB2999226)
Re-Started PC
Installed all packages again VC9, VC10, VC11, VC13 & VC14. Installed without Error this time.
