Configuration

Windows 8.1 64bit
WampServer 2.1d 64bit
Joomla 2.5.28
Apache Version 2.2.17
PHP Version 5.3.4
MySQL Version 5.1.53
Colour of WampServer Icon is Green

localhost and phpMyAdmin are both accessible
Wampserver is installed on D:\wampserver

Hi,

I would really appreciate some help or suggestions on this issue.

I've installed Wampserver 2.1d on Windows 8.1 as it is the nearest in php mysql versions to the Joomla site configuration that I want to run locally.

The problem is that only the homepage of the website works, the wampserver Server Configuration page opens instead of subpages. I've activated the rewrite_module option on Apache and uncommented the LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so in httpd.conf.

From what I've read this could be an htaccess issue, in wampserver's www website subdirectory contains both .htaccess and htaccess.txt.

Thanks.

Hi,

- Support for Joomla 2.5 is stopped since the end of 2014. The security holes will not be repaired.
- PHP 5.3.x is obsolete, the last version is 5.3.29 that is also obsolete.
- Apache Version 2.2.17 is obsolete
- MySQL 5.1.53 is obsolete
- WampServer 2.1d 64bit is obsolete and no more supported.
- 64-bit versions of Apache, PHP and MySQL are still considered experimental.

Looks like you purposely choose only old thing with the simple aim of attracting hassle.

Nevertheless, in all cases, especially with Joomla, to avoid certain problems, you must use the VirtualHost:The need for Virtual Hosts

Documentation Apache - Documentation PHP - Documentation MySQL - Wampserver install files & addons
