To launch an application via its shortcut as administrator

I use Windows 10 Pro
WampServer 32 3.0.4
Apache Version 2.4.18
PHP Version 5.6.19
MySQL Version 5.7.11
The color of my WampServer icon is pink.
I am trying to create a Virtual Host but could not create the folder to host it because I am not able to launch the Explorer as an administrator. The buttons in the Advanced properties in the shortcut tab of the File Explorer properties are not clickable,debarring me from checking the "Run as administrator" button.
So I skipped that stage and continued till I refreshed the host file after editing that the Wamp server icon changed from GREEN to PINK. This shows I have done something wrong some where. On launching the command window with cd \wamp\bin\apache\apache2.4.18\bin httpd -t I got the following information: c:\wamp\bin\apache\apache2.4.18\bin>http -t
AH00112 :Warning: DocumentRoot [c:/wamp/www/project1] does not exit.
Please Iam stuck up here and do not Know how to go further, I would appreciate your help.

Did you install WAMPServer using Run as Administrator?
