SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

When I want to download extensions for Magento 2 and have to login with keys I get this message:



SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate



Anybody knowns how to deal with this?

But isn't it a php_openssl issue? I do not think it is a Magento problem, it is just that I need it for Magento to work, the requirement of Magento is showing the issue.

Have you activated php_openssl?

Sure, php_openssl is activated by default.

When I ask on Magento board they say it is an Apache / php problem, cURL.
