@LivingThis, very often the ntdll.dll file faults are being caused by outdated graphic drivers [in the multiple times I have seen the error, it turned out to be the graphics driver], have a look to see if it needs updating.

Hi there. I followed your recommendations. I used the uninstall tool from WAMP to uninstall.

I did a reinstall on a new volume, which is Volume A and now on the hard disk; not anymore on USB .

I also installed the update from here: [wampserver.aviatechno.net] and running the vc check gives all packages are installed.

The icon is now green. I can see the phpinfo() page.

I'm still afraid to have problems after a couple of days or weeks.

What tests did you want to do to find out what caused the problem?

Well now its working, I think we can assume there was something about your USB disk that was somehow incompatible with Apache or MYSQL

WAMPServer works as intended when installed where it was intended to install.

Best leave it where it is.
