Enebling the Send Mail Action

errrrrr........
i have just installed the phpBB forum and i get an error

Failed sending email :: PHP ::

DEBUG MODE

Line : 234
File : emailer.php


i check with them and they said that i had the send mail founction disabled, so can any one tell me how to eneble it.

I think you need a cg-bin script and install that on your server. But i am not sure. I also cant tell you how to do it. So you must look it up on google or something.

i have a problem like that to...
i made a php form to send email, like a contact link
but it didn't work, it works in ohter servers but not in my wamp server.

do you know why??

I think its gots something to do with tha enabling of the "send mail" function, it should be enabled somewhere in the config files, i just dont know where!!

Hi you have to install a SMTP server such as ArGoSoft Mail Server this is about 100k program so is very small just give it the DNS server click on run and thats it

in your php.ini file look for smtp and the smtp = localhost

once configured in php.ini restart all services and try sending a mail from a Send mail form. should now work ....
