WAMP on different port

Hi,

i have installed WAMP 3 on a VPS (windows server 2008 R2 64bit) that has IIS already installed. I set the port for WAMP to 8081 and the localhost page and the phpmyadmin works properly.

I've installed a wordpress site into a subfolder of the root(wamp64/www) dir but when i address it from the url the page cannot be displayed, and not even the default project (my-site). Maybe i have to configure a virtualhost? It's a production server with a lot of services installed on it, and i can't modify the hosts file.

That's becoming frustrating, please help me.

Yes. The need for Virtual Host, but you would have had to create the VirtualHost BEFORE installing Wordpress and install Wordpress in this VirtualHost.

Why ?

Unless you have a DNS server, without modifying the hosts file, it will not work.

How are you addressing the site in your URL?
