.htaccess setup problems

Cant seem to get .htaccess to work. Im confinced that it does not read the passwd due to the url.
However, have tried numerous variations to no avail.
Would anybody perhaps know what the path should be if I have done the default wamp installation.?

Help would greatelly appreciated.
