WampServer

using:
windows 7
wampserver 2.5
apache 2.4.9
php 5.5.12
mysql 5.6.17

I started to install and configure Wordpress on Wampserver, following the directions in this tutorial:

I got as far as Step 2: Adding Some Necessary Wamp Modules. I was able to select the "rewrite_module" of the Apache module, but then my wamp icon went from green to orange. Also, I noticed a number of the apache modules have a red triangle enclosing an exclamation point next to them. I am afraid I may have accidentally clicked on another module either to select or deselect, as I was scrolling through the list for the "headers_module" and "expires_module." I have tried the following:

closing wamp and reopening it
stopping and restarting all services
restarting just Apache

without any luck.

I checked the Apache Error Log for today, and found a number of entries. I searched through them and I think the following is the key series within the log, but I am not skilled enough to decipher them:

Edit the httpd.conf file using the wampmanager menus ( wampmanager->Apache->httpd.conf )

Find this line

LoadModule proxy_balancer_module modules/mod_proxy_balancer.so

and add a comment to the front of the line like so:-

#LoadModule proxy_balancer_module modules/mod_proxy_balancer.so

This will turn off mod_proxy_balancer

Then exit wampserver and restart it again.

It should go Green unless there are other odd modules you have clicked
