I have had a small business site at wix.com (http://milwaukees.wix.com/reliablepcrepair) for almost two years now with next to no traffic... their SEO completely sucks... So I installed Wampserver 64 Ver. 2.5 on my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 machine with SP1 6.1 Build 7601

and set it up. I have,

Apache Version 2.4.9

MySql Version 5.6.17

PHP Version 5.5.12

WampManager Icon is Green

There is a Hosts file in C:\windows\System32\drivers\etc directory

My localhost domain is 127.0.0.1

My server is all set up and I am NEW to both wampserver and WP. I have downloaded WP 3.9.1 and now I need to know exactly how to get it all going, so I can create a brand new WP website for my business "Reliable PC Repair". If someone could give me a step by step tutorial on how to set it all up I would be greatly appreciative. I am a great computer tech 15+ years experience. I am getting into the web design side. I heard WP is the best way to go about this due to it's popularity. So I need to learn all I can as fast as I can. Please help me. Once I get this all going properly I will get my domain name and host provider so my site will be professional finally. Thanks in advance for all your help. Tim

Hi Tim,

Sorry this site is for helping people get WAMPServer up and running and not a WordPress helper.

I will tell you that you should create a Virtual Host to run your site in, as this will smooth your transition later from test to live site. Tutorial here

Your best bet is to go to the WordPress site , they have lots of help available there.
