Hi. I have since early yesterday been trying to get this to work, I have tried a few different "client-programs" to connect to my WAMP-server with no success.

The error message: 1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

I am really new to this, so I feel like a complete "noob". Am I being locked out of my own local server?
I tried connecting with username with both capitalized/uncapitalized 'L' in localhost, tried connecting with my IPV4-adress, I really have no clue what I am supposed to do.

When MySQL is first installed it should have a

Username = root
Password = blank ( empty )

Are you sure that you do not have another MySQL server running on your system?

Wamps mysql service is called 'wampmysqld' and not the default 'MySQL'
