I have wamp2.2e installed on my laptop woth windows7 ultimate.

Until today everything was fine and when I opened the wamp server I received this msg.

phpMyAdmin - Error

The mysqli extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration. <a href="Documentation.html#faqmysql" target="documentation"><img src="themes/dot.gif" title="Documentation" alt="Documentation" class="icon ic_b_help" /></a>

Can some one tell m ehow to overcome this error.

two things I have done before this are

1. wanted to no errors so i had set errors off in php.ini file, since that didn't work again I returned to original on for set errors.

2. My php files were not taking the php file icon, so to Save my file with php icon I opened the .php file and set a default file opening by browsing C/wamp/bin/php/php5.4.3/php logo with application file type.

As I feel the second reason is for this problem. pplz plz help me

I am doing my phd work and all my data are stuck in the phpmyadmin.

Will the uninstalling and installing will set the problem.

Check that php_mysqli is ticked on the extension list, indicationg it is being loaded

left click wampmanager icon -> PHP -> PHP extensions -> php_mysqli

I recently had to re-installl wampserver and it was running fine. i loaded a page on my site and it worked. i loaded another page and i got the error due to mysqli extension not installed. went back to first page that had just worked; and it no longer worked. i have completely uninstalled/deleted everything and re-installed a few times now and can't get this working.

very odd indeed.

Win7, x32 latest of wampserver - going to try x64 version or an older x32 (my php debugger does not work with latest x64 wampserver).

I was facing the same problem
I have the same configuration in my laptop as stated above.

Did everything.. even re-started my system.. but nothing worked.

After few mins when I was on a verge of frustration.. it started....! God knows! whhh...

what i did is checking and unchecking for several times and restarting the server..
php-> php extensions -> php_mysqli

and this worked ! ha ha ha
