PHP install script not connecting with MYSQL?

Hello,
i just recently installed wampserver on my system, everything seems to work fine 2outta2 systems are on...
but everytime i need to install a script nothing happens, i try entering the mysql login details, (Example : Localhost, root, " ".)
but like any of the things i need mysql nothing happens, infact i am not sure if mysql is even connected by apache.... since i have enter the SQL manually . and i still get error saying how it doesn't connect or what so not...
so is there somthing i am doing wrong here? is there somthing i didn't configur right (Everything is still at defualt btw).

i can open it up with no problems what so ever, and also add the tables ect.... but it doesn't work since nothing can connect to the Database for some reson.

I have the same problem with my wampserver i run is on a clean server everyting works (phpmyadmin, sqllite ect.) and i can make tables but when I try to connect to my mysql database it can't connect.
Here are my configurations:
$DBHost = "localhost"; // Host
$DBLogin = "root"; // Username
$DBPassword = ""; // Wachtwoord
$DBDatabase = "news"; // Database
