Can I just be clear here:
So you go to your LIVE system and using the phpmyadmin on that system you do an Export, in sql format. This creates a file on the LIVE system and you copy that file to your TEST system.
You then use phpmyadmin on the TEST system and try to Import that file.
Both systems have the same version of WAMPServer running.
Can you paste the first 20 or so lines of the file you are trying to restore please.
