WampServer

Hello friends.

My localhost was running fine. but suddenly its just stops running properly.

Every time I am trying to run Wamp it's just turn yellow.. I know it's Apache which is not starting but My port 80 is free though this problem is happening. Not using IIS, Skype, ZoneAlarm or other software which may block port 80. Seriously port 80 is absolutely available but why Apache not using port 80. And I have also tried xampp but not works. Apache starts and then Stops after 10 secs.

Also configured the host file on Windows/system32/drivers/etc/ there is only one thing
127.0.0.1 localhost.

Also changed the httpd.conf file of Apache directory to change the port that it's using 80 to 8080 and other free ports.. ain't works.

Also checked the php path.. but not sure...

Honestly tried each and every ways possible which is found on the internet.. not works for me...

Now What Will be the solution for this.... ?

In logs directory there are 3 .log files. and a file without any extension. (log_dir) All descriptions are given bellow.

access.log is empty.


apache_error.log

mysql.log

log_dir

Open “Control Panel” then “Network Connections.”

Right-click on “Local Area Connection” and select “Properties.”

Double-click on the “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” line to open the “Properties.”

On the “General” tab, click the “Advanced” button.

Select the “WINS” tab and uncheck the “Enable LMHOSTS Lookup” box.”

i am using windows 8, i installed wamp server and it stayed red after trying a lot of things available online. finally came across a solution to keep the port 80 free. i did that and even after the port 80 being free, wamp stays red and when i hover the cursor on it, it says wamp is online.
Plz help me in fixing this.

Please start a new thread and aswer al the question of this port along with any useful info like error log, event viewer messages.
