WampServer

I recently reinstalled my Windows 7 OS so I had to reinstall my wamp 2.2e testing server, but unfortunately I am now unable to access my localhost or phpmyadmin applications.
The taskbar icon is orange and when I attempt to access these apps I get the following message...


Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost


I tested Port 80 and wamp said my Port 80 was not actually used.
My Internet Information Services feature is turned off.

Could someone help me resolve this issue?

i have the same problem

If wamp manager icon is orange then either Apache or MySQL has not started.

Which one is not running?

port 80 i just try install now IIS from windows 7 programs and now port 80 its actually used from IIS 7.5

if i can post i find a great tutorial for win 7 that explane all steps maybe can help this problem with apache and ports can i post?

ehm but i have the port 80 for apache still not in use if i try to remove and reinstall nothing happen maybe i have to reistall all!

Web servers use port 80.

If you have 2 web servers installed ... Apache & IIS they both want to use port 80.

This will not work.

You will have to STOP IIS when you want to use WAMP and STOP WAMP when you want to use IIS.

Or better still pick one web server.

right now the port is used by apache but got a 403 only for localhost and in anycase the icon its white i just dont know what to do before making some other mistake. but about iis are just stopped maybe i look at the task manager in services ... and cannot find web deployment agent services!

Solved the problem. The issue is with services. need to start/stop some services
