#2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

This is the first time I have used Wamp. Easyphp is my norm and have never had this error. How do I remedy this?
Thanks

That's the reason why this wamp can NOT run. You have to uninstall easyphp and all related files and registries before installing this wamp

I see... Before I do, is there any advantage to Wamp over Easyphp? Wamp looks good.
Thanks

your problem used to suffer me a lot........ not anymore follow the steps
1>install wamp with all its defaults
2>from system tray go wamp's local host then phpmyadmin()
........it will ask for login now,
3>open <c/wamp/www/testmysql.php> notepad,epp.....
4>change hostname to localhost
dbuser to root
dbpassword getrid of it(so it will be no password)
5>now insert root on username of the login page and enjoy the warmth of wamp
i hope it was helpful
