WampServer

Hi ,
After installing wamp server successfully , dowloaded the WP and started uploading theme . With my first theme only , I got the below message after trying to install the same :

The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

Opened up the php.ini file by navigating through the wampserver icon and then clicking on PHP section. After that no idea how to rectify this error.

Please guide .

Using the wampmanager icon menus ( that the icon that sits in the system tray )

left click wampmanager -> PHP -> php.ini

This will open the correct php.ini file in notepad.

Find the parameter 'upload_max_filesize' and change it form the default of 2M ( 2 meg ) to a larger number, try 40M

Save the file. Using the wampmanager menus system again restart Apache

left click wampmanager -> Apache -> Service -> Restart Service

This will restart Apache and activate your changes to the php.ini file.

Thanks Rigs for your update . I updated the file size accordingly and phpadmin says that it will take 24 hrs to get the updation done ..
