WampServer

Hi to all ....

I am the new person who interest to use WAMP. I had windows 8 on my PC. Is it compatible to me to install WAMP on my PC.

I already read the forum before and I'd got the same problem with other follower :

Error : #2002 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

Can you advice me any solution about that? I need to install PHP 5.5 to configure PHP + OracleDB... Currently I use PHP 4 ... Thank YOu...

In order to make it simpler to suggest answers to your problems:
Before asking a question please answer these.

1. Version of Operating system?

2. Version of Wamp Server installed?

3. Versions of Apache you have installed with WAMPServer?

4. Versions of MySQL you have installed with WAMPServer?

5. Versions of PHP you have installed with WAMPServer?

6. What colour is your WampManager icon? ( the in the system tray )
It could be Green, Orange or Red

7. Do you have a HOSTS file? [c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts]
Paste any entries relating to the domain [localhost] and any relating to your Virtual Hosts if that is relevant to your question.

8 . Have you tried to install Apache or MySQL or PHP some other way before trying WAMPServer?
