Wamp behind Proxy

Hello!

I have a question about using Wamp (as an Intranet-Web-Server) behind a Proxy.

In this combination the Wamp-Server can't get any information from the Internet, because - I think so - Wamp uses the Standardgateway of the Server, not the Proxy.

So how can I tell the Wamp-Server to use the Proxy to get Information from the Internet?

Thanks in advance!

By WampServer I assume you mean Apache?

Apache does not get data from the internet, a browser gets data from Apache ( web server )

What do you think needs to get data from the internet?

:-)

Well, you're right and thanks for the fast response.

For example, my Wordpress-Backend (admin) contains information from the Internet (wp-blog, etc...).
But these information will not displayed.
The information in the WP-Box is 'cannot conntect to []....'

An other Application has to verify a Licence-Key - the same Error 'can't conntect to Server ...'.

So where can I tell these Apps (or apache) how to connect to the Internet via the Proxy?

Thanks!
Syn

Allright... this is a solution for Wordpress, but not for all the other Apps.

So I would like to make one general adjustment for all Apps. Is this with Apache possible?!

Thanks!

Well I did a few google searches and I have learnt quite a bit.

It appears you can set your server machine to have an overriding proxy configuration. This may help you although I am no expert.

Search 'windows http_proxy' talks about setting an environment variable to the proxy server address

Also it appears you can set your network configuration for your server machine

Hope this helps, its been very informative for me!
