php4 addon not working ?

Well I installed the php4 extension over a perfectly good wamp5.
And when i select "switch to php4" from the menu, a window briefly appears.
Php4 doesn't start though, i cheched phpinfo() afterwards.
I can't read what's in that window, cause it goes away too fast, i can't hold it.
Any idea what to do to start php4 ?
PS. How does it work anyway ? it just copies over some files in the apache directory ?
