WampServer

Hi,

I am new to using WAMP and appear to be having problems with viewing the admin page on [localhost], I get a message saying "This page can't be displayed".

The icon is appear as green in the tray at the bottom.

I have been looking around for some solutions and have change Skype so that it doesn't use port 80 and I have also checked the windows server file to see what was in there and all there was, was:


127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 localhost

Any help would be much appreciated as I am slowly starting to pull my hair out trying to work out what is wrong!

WHat version of WAMP did yuo install.

Hi,

When you left click on the green icon, there is an option titled "Put online", have you tried clicking that?
That was the thing I struggled to notice after installing WAMP.
Also, make sure you browser is not set to connect via proxies.

I have tried both of those options with still no luck

When you click "www directory" (right click on the green wamp icon), do you see an index.html file?

I see a folder called www directory but no arrow next to it like the Apache and PHP one....

Pls try to close the setting in your PC, then you will find it.

Ok, when I select the www directory option I can see index.php and testmysql.php files

Have you tried to install Apache and/or MySQL in some other way before getting to WAMPServer?
