want to use apc functions.. can't get it to work

Hi.
I'd really like to use the apc functions that are available as a pecl extension.
I've found some compiled DLLs for windows (from 2011) (http://downloads.php.net/pierre/), but they don't work on my current wampserver installation. Maybe because I'm running 64bit.
System Windows NT CROW 6.2 build 9200 (Unknown Windows version Business Edition) AMD64
Build Date May 15 2012 00:57:24
Compiler MSVC9 (Visual C++ 2008)
Architecture x64
