Upgrading a server. advice pls

Hi
I have been developing an application that is used regularly by the test team on a hosted server running WAMP. It all works really well. Thanks for the great WAMP product!
We are just about ready to pass the site over to our users for full user testing and I wanted to ensure all the components were at their most current before we start.
I am currently using the following
Wamp 2.2 which has
MySQL 5.5.16
PHP 5.3.8
Apache 2.2.21
The platform is a 64 bit Win 2008 R2 server SP1 (Hosted)
My concern is that I will apply the latest version of Wamp and it will break! Has naybody done an in-place upgrade like this? Can you advise the best way to do so and keep everything ticking?
