WampServer

I tried to install my phpbb forum on apache, but Apache doesn't read the folder,
i did make an new folder for the forum, but when i put the files in the folder,
it's like the folder dissapear.



How Do I Make My Server PHPBB Compatible ???

As far as im aware it only happens with php 5. it is an issue with phpbb. and the only alternative is to use php 4.x or phpbb5 a seperate program that can be found on sourceforge!

Have you tried checking if this could be a apache2 problem?

it is running on my friend his server (apache2),
and he doesn't make use of WAMP.

Try to delete the htaccess file, that was my problem

this is not a php problem. make sure you put your forum in a web accessable directory, which means put the folder in your www directory.

PHPBB2 latest version
works fine and all but when you try to register a new user you get this message

Failed sending email :: PHP ::

DEBUG MODE

File : emailer.php

the user gets created and all but I dont want that message to appear

emailer.php failed because you do not have a SMTP (email) server on your pc. WAMP does not come with one and for security concerns, it is a good thing.

iam getting the same error.... iam trying to investigate to my best and have only come to installing the phpmailer. not sure exactly how to install it and not even sure if it will work. there are many of us having this problem.

phpbb2 works fine w/ php5 and the problem w/ email is from lack of mail server like these
