Hi bineet,

I have just got this machine, it is my first vista machine and I am just getting started with wamp myself.

I exited from skype, could not think what else may be causing the problem, so,I found an easy workaround (anyone please correct me if this is going to cause problems further down the line please) was to change the Apache httpd.conf entry from: Listen 80 to Listen 8080.
Then i use the url: (http://localhost:8080/) - without the parentheses - to get started.

As port 80 is the default for http requests, other urs will have to change too: (http://localhost:8080/phpmyadmin/) instead of (http://localhost/phpmyadmin)

Regards

Bill

Hi willylang,

I you want to change Apache port, I got a solution for you cool smiley
My patch contains a component ChangeApachePort which allows you to change the port from wamp menu.
It automatically replace port 80 where it's needed.

Try it and let me know winking smiley

willylang, you should change port in skype instead since it's not very convenient to attach port into url

open skype... tools>options>connection>advanced> untick "use port 80..."
