Im using the following:

Apache: vers 2.2.22
MySQL: 5.5.24
PHP : 5.3.13

Wampserver verson: 2.2 32bit.

Event viewer log entry: The apache service named reported the following error.
>>>>httpd.exe. Could not open configuration file.
C./wamp/bin/apache/Apache2.2.21/conf/httpd.conf. The system cannot find the path specified.

Got this far, but dont know what to do next. Can anyone help? (silly question I think!)

Is this a new install?

Seems fairly obvious!! Does that directory exist and is there a file in there called httpd.conf

Yes, it does, and there is, but my version is 2.2.22 not 2.2.21 and it doesnt exist in the 2.2.22 directory, why would it point to the old version?

So you had Apache 2.2.21 installed and now you are installing 2.2.22 is that right?

Well I guess you copied the 21 httpd.conf into the 22's httpd.conf

Go through it an chnge 21 to 22 whereever you see it on a directory reference

Thanks, Ive deleted everything and re-installed it. Theres only one dirctorory now, it still wont work, tells me that Im missing msvcr100.dll.

maybe something to do with this:

NOTE: For whichever database backend(s) you configure, the corresponding
driver .dll's must be in your PATH to test from console mode, and in the
systemwide path if used for a service such as Apache httpd.

Havent a clue.

Thanks again. I went back and downloaded the whole thing, including the Microsoft Visual C++, cleared everything out and started from nothing.

Miraculously it all is working.

Ill read it though, for the future.

Very grateful!!
