WAMP Server not working

I was tring to set up an Alias for my main project and after trying this I could not run localhost.
When I restart sevices the icon goes red then yellow, but does not go green.
Can't figure out what I have done to cause this.
What should I check?
I have tried renewing httpd.config, but made no difference.

Hi,
Suppress the alias file you have created (wamp/alias/my_alias.conf).
Use VirtualHost: The need for Virtual Host
