Hello,
anyone knows why PMA is so slow on WAMP? I have just switch from XAMPP(I had problem with starting Apatche) and WAMP would be great if PMA was working okay. It takes about 2-3 seconds to reaload a page.
I'm using W8.

Please help me.

Yes it's a windows 8 issue.

Open the config.inc.php in c:/wamp/apps/phpmyadmin/

And change the second reference of

Localhost

To

127.0.01

Save and restart wamp

Thank you very much. Does it mean I will have to use 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost in all my PHP scripts when I connect to DB?

Use PhpMiniAdmin, you can download it from source forge. Then upload it to your account and log in to PhpMiniAdmin, much faster. PhpMiniAdim is only ~10kb large (PhpMyAdmin is ~10mb I've heard )!
That is a good temporary solution, but once the admins fix the problem, I would delete the PhpMiniAdmin because users to your site will have access to it, and if they somehow figure out your username and password because of bad php scripting they can defile your site.

Best thing would be to make the foldername as unique as possible. and maybe inside another folder, or use htaccess
