Hello Everyone
I am having a problem getting to phpMyadmin on a new install of WAMP on Window 7 64.
When I try and access it I get the following error message:
#2002 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).
I did have XAMPP running but un-installed it before installing WAMP.
I am trying to install a copy of Concrete5 on this install and in one of there How To's on setting up WAMP the say the following
You can fix this BEFORE installing concrete5 by adding this line to your MySQL configuration file: (you only have to do this once)
print("lower_case_table_names=0"
;
In Windows, you can find your MySQL configuration in a file called my.ini from your MySQL installation directory. The default location should be:
C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.5.20
Just double click the file to open it in a text editor, and add the line of code right at the bottom.
When I do this thats when I seem to get the problem.
It seems they want me to do this to avoid problems when I move the site to my live Linux server.
Can any one suggest anything that may help?
Thanks
Gloria
