WampServer

We use WAMP on our dev server and have built up a lot of 'sub sites' in the www folder.
If we remove one of the site folders in www, WAMP will not go Online and will only work as localhost.
Most of them are Drupal Sites.
I've tried with WAMP shut down and it still happens.

How do you remove a site folder from the www directory once it's been set up there.

Putting up a new site has been simple, but we cannot remove any of them.
We are not useing aliases or virtual hosts in the config file.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
