I have been using Ioncube (to run encrypted php) for years on my WAMP 2.0 with PHP 5.3.0.

I need to use PHP 5.3.8 (to develop on Joomla 3). I installed Ioncube for that PHP version, but it does not load (says Ioncubes wizard). I contacted Ioncubes support and they say it is because PHP 5.3.8 for Windows might not be compiled correctly to run on 64 bit windows. They suggest I use WAMP 32 bits so the PHP will work with Ioncube.

I can't find which WAMP 2.0 version I got (32 or 64, see my other topic).

Is anyone succesfully running Ioncube on WAMP 2.0 on windows 7 64 bit with PHP 5.3.8 or higher?

use the wamp 32bit even on a 64 bit machine
