Can't switch Apache version

Hi

I have just installed WAMP on a totally fresh Windows 7 32 bit VM. The version is 32 bits & PHP 5.3 (2.2E). That works perfectly.

I then downloaded and installed the Apache 2.0.63 (OpenSSL) add on. My aim is to get to running PHP 5.2, and I believe this is a prerequisite.

However, when switching the Apache version from the default 2.2.22 to 2.0.63, the icon gets stuck on orange.

This is not a problem on my host OS. The only difference I can think of is that the host OS is Windows 7 64 bit rather than 32 bit.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steven

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately that did not work. From the Matrix, I can see that Apache 2.0 should be able to support PHP 5.3 too, so even without the PHP change something is odd.

I've actually tried this on a fresh XP VM too, with the same problem.

If I install both PHP 5.2 and Apache 2.0, then stop all services, switch the versions of both to 5.2/2.0, then restart all services, I get the same problem.

Regards

Chris

Thanks for the speedy reply. I just installed WAMP 2.0 instead - it's only for testing purposes. This worked just fine. Thanks again.
