trashed pages from installer

I installed the latest wamp download and chose the "install new home page" option. I get a page with a heading and box, but the box contents are gibberish -- some code, some french, lots of whitespace.

I don't want to spend hours fixing the installed code. Can anyone help?

save your data,ininstall, delete the wamp directory and install again.

The latest WAMP5 version shouldn't be directly upgraded.
