WAMP server version check & upgrade

How do I check which version I'm using?

I'm starting afresh with some of my local projects and want to do so with the latest version...

you would need to goto

c:\wamp\bin and tell me each version of apache mysql and php you have and ill let you know the version.

you can double click the wamp tray icon and it will tell you if its verion 1.3 /2.0 / 2.1/ 2.2 but you cannot just upgrade wamp if you have anything except 2.2

mysql5.5.20

php5.3.10

Double click reveals version 2.2.

Is there protocol for upgrading or should I unistall and reinstall?

Steve, is it possible to run a "portable version" from an external drive?
