I would like to learn how to use and run mysqldump with WAMP.
For that I have picked this tutorial post by Chris Coyer:
css-tricks.com/back-wordpress-database/
There it says to SSH into the server.
"To run mysqldump, you'll need to access the command line for your server."
and goes on with
"Some software can help you connect to your server through SSH."
What software do I need for that please? Does WAMP server have a command line tool built into it already? Should I use PuTTY for Windows?
I really like to learn this so that when the sites are on real production/liver servers I know how to make backups and restores of the MySQL databases and what not.
Thank you for any help.
Kind Regards
Frank
