phpMyAdmin pass problem

I have put a password to my root user in mysql.
Then I opened a config.inc.php file with notepad++ and added a password in $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] =

After that when i click on Wamp server green icon and try to enter PhpMyAdmin I still get Access denied page in Firefox.
What am i doing wrong, why cannot i access phpmyadmin?

grab teamviewer and ill take a look.

if your putting your password into a plain-text file , YOUR DOING IT WRONG!!!
