DocumentRoot to be a Network-Drive?

Hello dear Forum Users,

i am using WAMP for years and i like it very much!
Right now i got a second working Station and i have not yet saved my projects to a cloud-server like Dropbox or GDrive, so i connected the "c:\wamp\www\" Document-Root from the old Computer as a Network-Drive under Windows (called "z:\"winking smiley on the new Computer.

Now i am trying to set the Document root of my WAMP installation at the new computer to this "z:\"-Drive, but it doesn't work. I got no error in the apache-log, but i also have no idea what i am doing wrong... Also tried to chande the DocumentRoot to the exact IP of the old computer, but it also doesn't works.

Perhaps there's a little thing i missed?
Perhaps it is not possible after all?

I would like to thank everyone who's reading my problem above!

Thanks from Germany,
BennY

no apache unforunatly doesnt have the ability to use a mapped drive.

the notation // is not recognised by apache and the service that apache uses is "LOCAL SERVICE"

If you can switch this to a NETWORK SERVICE in the service settings it may work, but your best to use a NAS Drive
