WampServer

Was working on my system a few months ago, but now it's not working.

I have tried changing the port, I've tried making sure that different things are running or set to run in my conf file for apache. I've made sure that nothing else is running on port 80, I've used the port 80 checker that's in the menu and it says it's not actually used

When I try to put online I get the "could not execute menu item (internal error)" blah blah blah message that comes up.

I would love some help, I have not tried re-installing because I don't know where to do to back my database and all that up from.

Can someone please help me troubleshoot this?

Did you mean Apache Server is not starting? If so, please look at the Apache Log for to get the relevant infos.

As for backing up, you could use a client tool like heidisql (its free) for downloading your database. I know Skype messes with port 80 aswell.

the most recent things I have in the error and access log is from may 14th

I don't have skype running, I'm going to download that program and backup and then try to uninstall and reinstall

re-installed and got it to go green now, but now I'm having problems with phpmyadmin, will make a new thread
