How to set-up another project in www directory - "Error establishing database"

Greeting Knowledgeable ones!

Please assist your brother.

Running version 2.2 and testing a wordpress site on my local system under Windows 7.
(
Note: I do not use skype.)

The problem arose after I attempted to install a second wordpress project and database in www directory.

I cannot seem to recover it, and no changes were made that I am aware of.

Even if I take a hard look at Apache error log it means NOTHING to me.

I've also scoured the net only to get more entangled in if-this-then-that madness.

I should add that although I could access the second one I had added, I could not access its [localhost]

And the first one to which I had devoted hundreds of hours is now expressing the "error establishing".

I need both to work...

of course... use the PM , or my email below and send me the ID and Password....

and then ill take a look , you need to be careful that you dont lose the original db

So just to be clear:
Is it perfectly OK to have 2 projects in www directory, each with its own db or do I require a cheat for WAMP to see and operate both?

What's a "virtual site" anyway. I thought all sites are virtual.

a virtual host. is the ability to fake a url on your own pc so that when you later move your site, you dont need to change anything.

for example you could set up a vhost of microsoft.com so that when you try to go to microsoft.com , it will actuall go to a site you made in wamp.

That's the essence of why people choose WAMP right?

I suppose it's out of the question to have 2 projects under www where both draw from the same db or use identical db particulars? Or should they be unique?

no it is possible to use the same database but it would just result in having two of the same website using wordpress , because wordpress stores most of the content of the site in the db

in this case you must use seperate db since you want two different sites

Yes, I see. The db is the site (Oh semantics!).
But can they just look different, and when you do a fresh put to live server the db particulars and [mysiteurl.com] correspond to whatever is there?
