WampServer

Hi,

I run windows 7 Pro 64 bit and have installed “Wampserver (64 bits & Apache 2.4) 2.2E”

After installed Joomla latest release, I noticed that anytime I try to access anything, especially the Administration section it takes about 3 to 5 secs to load, or save the page. I recall having wamp installed on a virtual PC running windows Vista 32-bit and the same stuff was very fast almost instantaneous.

The two questions I wish to ask are:
1) Did I pick the correct version of WAMP? If not what should I have selected and installed?
2) How to solve this issue? It is quite frustrating that anytime I do something in within Joomla it takes about 3 to 5 secs and I hate to wait when it should be instantaneous being on my local PC.

Hi,

could it be that I have to modify the "hosts" file in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc path?
So far I have assigned the followings:

# 127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.110 my-localpc

Could it be that I should make some changes here? I ask this also because when woring in phpmyadmin sometimes I see the web browser displaying "connecting to my-localpc" for 3 secs before it starts loading the page.
