PHP version 2.9 on 64bit and phpMyAdmin alias

Hi,

2 problems:

1. When installing WAMPSERVER (64 BITS & PHP 5.3) 2.2E and downgrade the PHP version to 5.2.9, the apache won't start on 64 bit, only on 32 bit works. Don't know how to update the PHP 5.2.9 version so it can work with the 64 bit apache version.

2. When i try to connect through phpmyadmin alias, it doesn't work, still shows the error message with the rejection of the mysql server for user and password. So:

localhost/phpMyAdmin/ -> Works after configuring the config.inc.php

localhost/phpmyadmin/ -> Doesn't work either way. (This is the link for the alias of Phpmyadmin)

Thx,
Alistair.

As expected.

you cannot run 32bit and 64bit versions mixed.

its not possible to have php5.2 in 64bit.

please read the notice on the download page about mixing addons.

all addons are vc6

use the 32bit version of wamp, and use an apache and php addon to get back to 5.2

That is what i did, i said that right above and it works. Ty. Still, i'm new at learning php, js, css and html combined and i need the 5.2.9 version for the symfony 1.4, because otherwise it won't work. And wanted to be awesome to have the 64 bit version. Anyway, is there a problem if the phpmyadmin alias doesn't work? Should i proceed without it?

Ty,
Alistair.

Yes, i can access it after i created and edit the config.inc.php with the auth credentials of the mysql login auth. The only problem is the alias tongue sticking out smiley
