Can you log into MySQL directly .... Open the subfolder in the WAMPServer Taskbar Icon and launch it that way. Check with and without a password (if you're not sure if you used one or not)

The icon is orange and doesn't turn green.

Access Violation in wampmanager.exe

NewBe,,, just downloaded WampServer so i could start to learn WordPress on my local computer along with PHP. but when i go into phpMyAdmin i get this error message

The mysqli extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration. <a href="Documentation.html#faqmysql" target="documentation"><img src="themes/dot.gif" title="Documentation" alt="Documentation" class="icon ic_b_help" /></a>

any pointer on where i should start to debug this error??

IDK what i did exactly,, or better stated what i was doing wrong before but i got it running now.. i added port 80 and its a go now
