Switching php versions in wamp server error

I installed an addon of php version 5.3.1 in to my wamp server.
The orginal php version on the wamp server was 5.3.9.
After the installation i saw those two versions in the "php -> versions" tab in the tray.
When i switch the version to the 5.3.1 the localhost doesnt load.
but when i switch back to 5.3.9 localhost works.
I need to fix it

Look in PHP error Log
Look in apache error log
Look in Windows Event viewer for errors from PHP or apache.
