How do I move a wordpress SSL site to WampServer?

How do I move a WordPress SSL site to WampServer? Is there a way to convert the duplicate to a non-SSL? I presently have a blog with an address of https but after using a new backup copy of the site and opening it in Wamp I keep getting a "Secure Connection Failed" error. I'm pretty much of a novice so be gentle. :-) Like so many I want to make changes to my blog on a localhost to test before going live.
