Wamp manager goes orange when one of the 2 services (wampapache or wampmysql) have not started.

Its probably apache that has not started.

The reason is usually that some other program has got hold of port 80 ( cannot share ports ).

Quite often that is SKYPE but there are other possibilities.

If you are running skype change it as follows:-
Go to Skype ->Tools -> Options ->Advanced ->Connection
and uncheck the checkbox "Use port 80 adn 443 as alternatives for incoming connections"
terminate skype and then restart it.

then do wamp manager -> restart all services

If wamp manager now goes green you are off and running.

There are a few other issues you can run into, (not wamps fault), more to do with differences in windows versions.

Take a look at [forum.wampserver.com] it may help you over a further down the line. Especially the HOSTS file IPV6 part.

Regards
Hope this helps
